Agricultural water pump is an indispensable water-lifting machine for irrigation and waterlogging drainage. Correct selection and installation is of great significance for ensuring safe operation of units and improving pumping efficiency.

There are many types of agricultural water pumps. Taking submersible pumps as an example, the points for attention in selecting and purchasing them are introduced.

1. Choose the maximum outer diameter of the pump according to the inner diameter of the wellbore. When choosing and purchasing, we should not only consider whether the pump can be installed in the well pipe, but also consider that the pump should not touch the inner wall of the well pipe in the downhole part, so as to prevent the vibration of the pump and damage the well pipe in operation. Generally, the maximum outer diameter of the pump is 25-30 mm smaller than that of the borehole. If the tube is slightly bent, the diameter difference between the two can be slightly larger.

2. Choose the maximum flow rate of the pump according to the output of the well. The flow rate of the pump shall be based on the data indicated on the nameplate or given in the product description. Generally, it is required that the maximum water level drop of the machine well should not exceed 50% of the depth of the well water, so that the machine well collapses or deposits water pumps due to excessive water level drop.

3. Choose the head of the pump according to the actual need. The actual required lift refers to the vertical distance between the water level and the water level of the outlet pool. The pump lift should be equal to the sum of the actual lift and the lost lift in the riser. The head loss in the riser is usually calculated by 6%-9% of the actual head (generally 1-2 meters). The national standard stipulates that the safe lift of submersible pump should be between 83% and 140% of the prescribed lift.
4. Choose qualified products. When you determine the type of pump, you should pay attention to the following points when buying it formally in order to avoid buying back inferior products.
